The Joyride

The Joyride | 9:00 – 12:00 (Saturday)

Nick Plummer hijacks the Taxi on the weekend and takes it on a cultural joyride with friends around the block.
It does what it says on the tin.

Rarely staying in one place long enough to get boring, The Joyride gives you a 3-hour dash around the world every Saturday morning.

Regular guests include:

Larry Gould

A Frenchman by birth, an Englishman by education, a South African by choice, and a much-respected golf writer, who gives us valuable insights into providing good service in the tourism sector.

Lars Morgan

A very tall Swede with a passion for Elvis and big band jazz, who shares his encyclopaedic knowledge of all things wine (and usually brings a bottle or two)

Ali BA

A broadcaster for the BBC, who brings us a round-up of the most hilarious news stories of the week in her “Postcard From Britain.”
Throw in an eclectic mix of music across all genres, and The Joyride is the other reason you have the internet.

Nick Plummber
Presenter:

Nick Plummer Born-again Capetonian

Born quite late in life, and raised by pixies in an enchanted forest, Nick doesn’t really have a grasp on reality.
Which makes him perfect for radio.
An experienced broadcaster in music and talk stations, with a wide (yet shallow) musical knowledge, he brings his unique brand of left-field humour to The Joyride every Saturday morning.
Married with 2 beautiful young daughters, he is the only man in a female house. Even the dog’s a bitch.

Here is the blog version of some of the things we’ve talked about so far:
